Summer Update:

The summer flew by along with a painting I sold in a summer Contemporary Fine Art auction in New York. It was "Tea and Grapes", a treasure of a painting that features a beautiful brass tea caddy I bought from France and some of the most spectacular looking black grapes I ever purchased. There is something about the subdued peacefulness of a simple still life with everyday objects I collect that make my painting process so satisfying. Thank you to my new collector for purchasing it, and I trust you've found the perfect spot to hang it.

Now I am off to finish a spectacular painting I've started using a gorgeous Blue and White Dutch Ewer with some apricots. I am so excited about painting this porcelain ewer for my Still Life Oil Painting Network Group challenge due by the end of the month. It will be available for sale and I will post it as soon as it's done. After that, I'll be actively looking for the topic of "Monotone" for my fourth quarter "star".
